Steven Ross, who started The Artists & Athletes Alliance in 2008 brings more than twenty-five years of public affairs and special events experience to the organization.

Prior to starting The Artists & Athletes Alliance, Mr. Ross was Director of Operations for Pennsylvania Avenue Strategies, a special events management firm. During the 2008 presidential election cycle, he was hired by CNN and ABC News to handle the logistical planning and event management for over 20 nationally televised Democratic and Republican presidential primary debates and forums. Steven’s responsibilities included writing format and logistics memos, coordinating debate pre-programs, candidate green rooms, campaign staff offices, spin rooms, media filing centers and campaign visibility areas.

Working closely with senior and traveling staff from each presidential campaign ensured that the specific details and logistical movements for each debate were understood.  Prior to each debate, Steven briefed each presidential candidate on the format, staging, and logistical movements unique to that debate. During the 2012 Republican presidential primary debates and the recent 2016 Democratic and Republican primary debates Steven has served as a debate consultant for CNN.

Mr. Ross received a Bachelor of Science in Finance from American University.
